The Best Waiver Wire Picks

The waiver wire is literally the single most powerful tool you can use to dominate your league. When hitting the waiver wire your goal is simple, replace your slackers with starters. You'll be temped to hold onto your draft picks because of the investment you made. Resist the urge to hold on to dead weight. Each season we see guys rise and fall. Drop the players that are failing and pick up the guys that are rising, it's that simple.

Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4 are the most critical! During the opening weeks you'll see wide receiver battles flesh themselves out, typically at the WR2 position or slot. Running back platoons (RBBC) may change as one runner rises above the rest enough to warrant a starting position on your team. Tight ends that no one saw coming put together several strong games and become solid depth or trade bait. Lastly, quarterbacks and team defenses can be streamed. We publish the best waiver wire picks every week, see below for our most recent picks.

Week Two Waiver Wire

September 9, 2013 by Greg Brosh

As I write up the Week Two Waiver Wire, Week One of the NFL season had it’s share of surprises that were both good and bad. Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor actually looked like an NFL starter, while others like Giants RB David Wilson might have fumbled and bumbled their way to not having much of […]

Week 17 Waiver Wire Pickups

December 24, 2012 by Greg Brosh

The Week 17 Waiver Wire Pickups don’t mean much to most owners with many league championships ending following Sunday’s games. If you won, CONGRATS!!!! But if you lost, or didn’t even come close to the big dance, there is always next year. Either way, making sure to stick around and visit Fantasy Knuckleheads during the […]

Willis McGahee Out 6-8 Weeks With A Torn MCL; Broken Leg

November 19, 2012 by Greg Brosh

For those who were patiently awaiting the MRI for Broncos RB Willis McGahee, it’s not good news. Not good news at all. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, McGahee suffered a torn MCL and will miss the next 6-8 weeks of action. Jay Glazer reports that McGahee will miss such a big length of time due […]

Felix Jones: The Stars Are Aligned For A Big Week

October 16, 2012 by Greg Brosh

Those who have been holding on to Cowboys RB Felix Jones might finally get a chance to use him in Week Seven. ESPN’s ED Werder reported Monday that DeMarco Murray is doubtful against the Panthers after suffering a foot injury against the Ravens. I say “might” because doubtful can sometimes turn into questionable, but I […]

Week Seven Waiver Wire Pickups: Josh Gordon Picking Up Steam

October 15, 2012 by Greg Brosh

As the year goes on, waiver wire pickups are starting to get slim, but there will always be a few guys who pop up week-to-week. The Week Seven Waiver Wire Pickups is no exception. Browns WR Josh Gordon is starting to make his case as one of the top options in non-ppr leagues. Even though […]
