With one more game left as we put a close on Week 15, you are either out of your playoffs entirely, or this is the BIG championship game for many of you. Now is critical. For myself, many players who I had predicted to go off on Sunday (AD, Nelson and Welker) crapped the bed, […]
The Best Waiver Wire Picks
The waiver wire is literally the single most powerful tool you can use to dominate your league. When hitting the waiver wire your goal is simple, replace your slackers with starters. You'll be temped to hold onto your draft picks because of the investment you made. Resist the urge to hold on to dead weight. Each season we see guys rise and fall. Drop the players that are failing and pick up the guys that are rising, it's that simple.
Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4 are the most critical! During the opening weeks you'll see wide receiver battles flesh themselves out, typically at the WR2 position or slot. Running back platoons (RBBC) may change as one runner rises above the rest enough to warrant a starting position on your team. Tight ends that no one saw coming put together several strong games and become solid depth or trade bait. Lastly, quarterbacks and team defenses can be streamed. We publish the best waiver wire picks every week, see below for our most recent picks.
Week 15 Waiver Wire Report: Go Go Felix Jones
We are not only 3 weeks away from the end of the regular season and I honestly can’t wait to sit back, relax and watch the playoffs. This year has been somewhat of a disaster because of players I thought would blow up getting the injury bug, or just plain stinking it up. As the […]
Week 14 Waiver Wire: On The Road To The Playoffs
Chances are, that you are reading this because you have made your playoffs and are looking for that last ditch edge to gain over your opponent for Week 14. Or, like I am in a couple leagues, you’re reading this in sadness because you are done, capoot, finished. Either way, there are a couple waiver-wire […]
Week 13 Waiver Wire: Peyton Hillis Making His Way Back
I had been trying my best to avoid the Browns backfield like the plague in recent weeks. Chris Ogbonnaya has his moments, but he clearly isn’t the running back of the future. Monterio Hardesty had a chance to make a claim for the starting job going into Week 12’s game against the Bengals, but wound […]
Week 12 Waiver Wire: Kevin Smith Back In Form
I don’t need to tell anyone who the biggest fantasy pickup is going to be this week. After watching the action Sunday, you better believe a certain Detroit throwaway (Kevin Smith) is going to blow up the waiver wires across the boards. So let’s dive into this week’s pickups as we head into Week 12. […]
