The Best Waiver Wire Picks

The waiver wire is literally the single most powerful tool you can use to dominate your league. When hitting the waiver wire your goal is simple, replace your slackers with starters. You'll be temped to hold onto your draft picks because of the investment you made. Resist the urge to hold on to dead weight. Each season we see guys rise and fall. Drop the players that are failing and pick up the guys that are rising, it's that simple.

Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4 are the most critical! During the opening weeks you'll see wide receiver battles flesh themselves out, typically at the WR2 position or slot. Running back platoons (RBBC) may change as one runner rises above the rest enough to warrant a starting position on your team. Tight ends that no one saw coming put together several strong games and become solid depth or trade bait. Lastly, quarterbacks and team defenses can be streamed. We publish the best waiver wire picks every week, see below for our most recent picks.

Waiver Wire Week 4, College Fullbacks & the Law Firm

September 28, 2010 by Kurt Turner

This week on the waiver wire we have some injuries, some good matchups and a pair of fullbacks making a big fantasy impact all over the league. With Steven Jackson and Ray Rice hobbled after week 3, both their backups look to find the end zone in week 4 at home. Even if you are […]

September 27, 2010 by Kurt Turner

Here is a sneak peek at some of the Waiver Wire Updates we sent out yesterday during the games. Ray Rice (RB) injured his knee on the Ravens’ third-to-last possession, Willis McGahee will be the primary ball carrier if Rice misses time. Ray Rice told reporters Sunday evening that “everything looks positive” with regard to […]

Knowshon Moreno OUT for Denver on Sunday

September 24, 2010 by Kurt Turner

According to reports out of Denver, Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno suffered an undisclosed injury during Friday’s practice and has already been deactivated for Sunday’s game against Indianapolis. The fantasy implications are… intriguing. The Broncos have Correll Buckhalter and recently acquired Laurence Maroney as backups, but neither has been very effective this year. And yet […]

Waiver Wire Week 3, It’s About Potential

September 21, 2010 by Kurt Turner

The Waiver wire in week 3 is all about what you could do for me. Potential is one of the keys to winning fantasy football, and this week I believe there is a lot of it sitting on the waiver wire. Make sure every Sunday you pay attention to your waiver wire, so you can […]

Waiver Wire Watch List, Who Are You Watching?

September 15, 2010 by Kurt Turner

I’ve got my own Personal Agent watching key players for me every day. One of the many ways I use the “Personal Agent” is to watch guys I think are emerging but I haven’t yet decided to pick them up. After all, I’ve already got a loaded bench and I won’t drop just for the […]
