The guess here is that Raiders boss Al Davis is, uh, restless. Unlikely: Davis is blaming himself for the team's horrendous start and the wretched output of his three massively compensated young players: JaMarcus Russell, Darren McFadden and Darrius Heyward-Bey. More likely: Davis is willing to spread the blame and is pondering changes. Source: San Francisco Chronicle
Why does Al even bother? Why doesn't he just go to the sidelines and show the world once and for all how he is the coach and to blame for the Raiders fall?
Ive wanted Mike Martz for years. I also dont care what anyone says, Herm Edwards would bring a winning attitude. I'd have him in the organization in some capacity. Wouldnt mind seeing him as the D cord.
i've figured it out...... Al knew that Cable wasn't going to make it so he talked Madden into retiring from broadcasting and will be bringing him back as coach ...............
Yeah me too ive had martz on my wishlist and Steve mariucci but i think will have another young dude who will try and challenge davis and that never ends well.
I think the football philosophies might work with those two (Martz and Al) but not sure the personalities would mesh. Then again.....they're both kind of odd.
Gruden with Mcfadden, Bush and Rus would be the best fit for them. Gruden would say yes, he likes a challege
