Philadelphia Eagles football player Michael Vick has landed his own reality TV show. The Michael Vick Project will feature the athlete embarking on his comeback to the NFL with his new team following his incarceration on dog fighting charges. Vick says, "I just want people to really get to know me as an individual. What I want to do is change the perception of me. I am a human being. I've made some mistakes in the past, and I wish it had never happened. But it's not about how you fall, but about how you pick yourself up." But the show has been slammed by bosses at People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Spokesman Dan Shannon says, "People who abuse animals don't deserve to be rewarded. They shouldn't be given multimillion-dollar contracts…or given the privilege of being a role model." Source: Local15TV.com
Will the opening song be this?: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He82NBjJqf8"]YouTube - Who Let the Dogs out??- Baha men Original version[/ame] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He82NBjJqf8"][/ame]
This would've been a better show before he went to jail - I bet Mike Vick knew how the heck to roll back in '03. Now he'll just be trying to show all the fans that he's a human being yada yada yada :whatever:
I really can't stand PETA but I agree....why be rewarded with money and try to rectify the image he tarnished after being a grade A douche. Play the game...do your job. Stay out of the limelight, asswipe.
It's going to be on BET and it's being produced by Michael Vick's production company. BET Gives Michael Vick a Redemption Reality Show. Here we go! We're going to hear about his crummy childhood and why we should understand why he hooked up Fido to a DC source. PETA can be a bunch of rads, but if his actions are attempted to be explained away, have at him sign jockies.
