Some personnel people believe Chargers LB Shawne Merriman isn't untouchable. Judging by the comments from general manager A.J. Smith, it doesn't seem like a lock that Merriman is a part of the Chargers' future plans. I'd be stunned if he received a long-term contract from them anytime soon. Source: NFL.com
I think when his knee heals up fully he should be a good player again, minus the roids and the psycho hose beast.
I think there's too many question marks for teams other than Washington & Dallas to consider giving him a big deal tbh.
I do not think Dallas will put their name in the hat until they get Ware signed first. After that depending on how Spencer does all bets are off.
Chargers got 3 damn good years out of him. The question is... first - what's he got left and second - how much does he expect to be paid.
If there isn't a new CBA he'd be a RFA. At this point I think it's very unlikely we give him a long term contract. I think we either give him the tender and try to trade him, or keep him on a yearly basis using the FT in the future. If someone made a good offer it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he was dealt.
I think you have to prove you've had worse than MRSA growing in or on you to get your own VH1 love show. So, he's definitely pre-exposed.
No way we deal him for a 3rd when that's pretty much a comp pick. I think a 1st would get him, problem is I don't think anyone will deal a 1st for him right now, which is why I don't think any deal will happen before the deadline. If a deal happens imo it'll be in the off-season.
