The Minnesota Vikings host the Baltimore Ravens at Metrodome on Sunday 10/18/09. Kickoff time is 1:00 pm EST. Discuss....
on monday id have picked the vikings easy. but this is a mustwin for the ravens and i think they might be able to pull it out if they improve and bounce back using motivation. the vikings haven't beaten anyone good unless you count the 49ers and packers and who knows how good they are? this will be a good game
Walk in the park....if Benson and the Bengals can handle the Ravens then the Vikes will walk through them.
MIN Fans haven't really had but one chance to see Favre be the gun slinger, and it was the reason he came back imo.. that is over, and they can get back to their gameplan.. Mission Save Brett's Arm: AD-AP. Vikings win by 9, 27-18.
I think the Ravens will win this game. Flacco has a big passing day and the Ravens defense makes just enough plays to eek out a win. I hope I'm wrong. 27-24 Bal
As much as I would like to see the Ravens give the Vikes their first loss, I think the Vikings are just a little too much for the Ravens.
if the ravens lose again this week, it would make 3 in a row after many people were annointing them the best team in the nfl. could they regain their momentum later this season or is this game crucial?
Contain the run with a physical front thats pissed Benson ran for over 100, defense as a whole has something to prove, I say we bounce back 24 to 20 Ravens
As it stands right now we still have a shot a 13-3 so I don't think you can call a week 6 matchup critical. And the two losses had more to do with the coaching than the players.
well, i like your confidence in your team but even IF the Ravens regain their momentum from last month, they still have the Vikings, Broncos, Colts, Steelers, Bengals, Packers, and Bears on their schedule. They would have to go 6-1 against those teams to get to 13-3. I would say if they go 4-3 in those games, it will be a huge accomplishment. Those teams have a combined record of 25-4 when not playing each other. If the Ravens regain their momentum, I would say 11-5 would be a good season. If they stumble again this week, it could go downhill and we may be looking at 8-8 or something. edit: they actually have TWO games left against the Steelers so they have 8 'difficult' games left and would need to win 7 of them to finish 13-3.
All we need is for our gameplan to help, not hinder, us. The season is still young enough that I hope that up until now Cam & Mattison have just been testing the talent pool to see what they can do with it, the first 3 weeks have showed me that we have the pieces to hang with anybody, we just need to put our guys in positions to make plays (which we didn't do against CIN).
