The San Diego Chargers say enough tickets have been sold to lift the local television blackout of Monday night's game against AFC West-leading Denver. The Chargers haven't had a regular-season blackout since 2004. Both of their home exhibition games were blacked out this year, and the club warned that there might be regular-season blackouts as well Source: Yahoo Sports.com
Damn, with San Diego such a big city I wouldn't think that the team would have to worry about blackouts. Did Ocho Cinco buy up all their tickets too? :icon_cheesygrin:
I have to believe the NFL bought up these tix. How embarrassing would it be for the NFL if their precious MNF game was blacked out?
eh the problem is the seats they're trying to sell. They're obstructed seats and the team is selling them for full price, those are always the seats that have trouble selling. They used to be discounted but since the team started winning they started selling them at full price.
They've had trouble selling those seats for as long as I can remember not as much as this season though. It may not be a valid reason to some but that's the way it is. I know I wouldn't pay that much for obstructed seats.
No crap. And I wouldn't blame you at all. The owners get richer and the "true fans" can't afford to go. Ridiculous.
