As I watch another Titans debacle today, I started thinking to myself, 'Will Jeff Fisher be fired at the end of this season?' and then I started debating the reasons that it may or may not be the right thing to do. Even though I believe Fisher is one of the most creative, innovative coaches in the league, I'm convinced it's time for him to go. Fisher is heading for another losing season. He will have only 2 winning seasons and no playoff wins in the last 6 years after this season is done. Mike Shanahan did better than that in his last 6 season in Denver. Fisher and his coaches failed to develop VY. He has failed to develop any WR's. And this team just went through an enormous rebuilding phase in '04, '05, and '06 where the front office and fans were very patient and watched a lot of losing and I'm sure they were expecting more than 2 winning seasons and zero playoff wins before they have to rebuild again .................. Fisher should go and I would say that the front office of the Titans is going to seriously consider it.
I really think Mike Reinfeldt is just as much to blame. Losing Floyd Reece has really hindered the Titans and they have really struck out on some draft picks outside of late. I can see how Fisher could be on the hook though. His teams have always either underachieved or needed to be the underdog to succeed.
Fisher would be fine if they wouldn't tie his hands and saddle him with stupid draft picks like Vince Young. I'd personally drag Haley out of town and replace him with Fisher.
