Troy Polamalu (knee) sat out of practice for a second straight day on Thursday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He aggravated his MCL injury from Week 1 last Sunday when he banged his knee into the ground. It sounds like a best-case scenario for the all-world safety will be that he's a game-time decision for Sunday and he should not be counted on to play. Source: Rototimes.com
Ouch huge loss if he can't play. hboy: **********Automerged Doublepost********** From everything I'm reading, if Troy can practice tomorrow he will play. Comeon Troy we need you.
i See him being limited in practices for a long time. Rest up the injury, don't add extra wear and tear. Do the mental reps and learn the wrinkles and game plan etc...do rehab and last longer. Just shooting in the dark but it makes sense. At least to me
It makes sense to me. This is probably what they are doing. I don't know how tough it is to only practice one day and then going out there and playing full out on sundays. But if it works, don't stop doing it. Most of the game is pretty much the same for the players anyways.
I feel good about Troy getting more time to study the gameplan and learn tendecies. The physical part won't be a problem.
