Ted Ginn Jr. scored on consecutive kickoff returns of 100 and 101 yards, an unprecedented feat that took a total of 31 seconds against the New York Jets. His many detractors might call him the fastest draft bust in Miami Dolphins history. “He takes a lot of flak,†teammate Justin Smiley said. “He deserves more respect than he gets.†"I still got to prove myself,†Ginn said. “It’s better not to just talk. It’s better to show action. Talking is cheap. The only thing I can do is go out and continue to make plays and put the naysayers away.†Source: Yahoo Sports
He was a bust in the fans eyes before he was drafted. It makes me laugh though because in hind sight, I think very few Miami fans would prefer Quinn over him which is what they were clammoring for then.
leave him the slot and let him be a returner, instead of expectiing 1000+ receiving yards you get 700+ and you max out his return capabilities.
you are right. most phins fans and other nfl fans knew what ginn was when they drafted him (nothing more than a kick returner) and that's the problem everyone had with them spending such a high pick on him. The phins organization insisted that he was going to be a legitimate WR. apparently the fans were right and the phins were wrong.
