Javon Walker, signed by the Raiders in 2008 to be their No. 1 receiver, has asked for his release. The veteran wideout is looking for a chance to resurrect his NFL career with a team interested in a former Pro Bowl player who believes he is in his prime. Nowadays, he is nothing more than an afterthought on the Raiders. "That would be nice," Walker said earlier this week, "because, the thing about it is, it's not that I can't play. I can play. From everyone who sees me at practice, I still got it going on." Source: Oakland Tribune
one would think even the raiders aren't dumb enough to hold out a wr that can play. something is fishy, just dunno what it is.
It is that the Raiders have no freaking idea what the heck is going on. Must be very frustrating for talented players to mire in a clusterheck of an organization that only hopes for the passing of its ownership. Sorry, it is what it is.
God, it seems now of days, every two years that Javon Walker either demands to be traded or released. I'm wondering if Al Davis is willing to eat up this contract or not.
