Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco Fined $20,000 By NFL

Chad Ochocinco has been fined $20,000 by the NFL for flashing a dollar bill at an official during a replay challenge -- a joking attempt at a "bribe" -- in last week's Bengals-Ravens game, team and league sources tell ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen. In the third quarter of last Sunday's 17-7 Bengals victory, Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer completed a 15-yard pass to Ochocinco. While the play was under review, Ochocinco held a $1 bill at this side. "I was just being me," Ochocinco told the NFL Network after the game. "I wasn't going to do it for real."

20,000 on a dollar joke. Tommy Harris got fined only what 15,000 for actually taking a swing at a fellow player and got ejected. They said the fine was because he used the word bribe. Goodell is a tool who is ruining the NFL.

 

$20,000 for using the word "bribe"? Like I said, Chad better appeal this.

I actually support the NFL in administering the fine. The joke was funny, but it was not the time or place for it. Even jokingly appearing to bribe an official in inapproriate. Some things are off limits even for a joke.
