Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell Might Not Start Next Week

Raiders head coach Tom Cable said QB JaMarcus Russell might not start the team's Week 11 game after he was benched in today's 16-10 loss to the Chiefs after going 8-for-24 with 64 passing yards. Cable said he would have more to say on the situation Monday when he looks at the film. Cable has not ruled out having QB Charlie Frye start the game.

I think Cable better ask Al before he makes any decisions because he could be backtracking for this comment.

 

8 for 24?! Thats absolutely ridiculous - in my mind this guy is a total bust. Are we all in agreement about that?

Russell's issues are all his own to blame. He isn't committed to his craft and thinks he can show up and play. His lack of work ethic is what kills him and there is no way anyone but him can turn that around. I don't see it happening. I am sure if someone asks him he'd once again say he felt he played well.

 

damnit! This isn't suppose to happen! How can we expect to get JaMarcus into the Pro Bowl if he's on the bench!

you forgot to add the 10 drops and couple of passes that were called back. watch the game and stop reading stat lines russell gets no help none at all yes he makes mistakes but every QB makes mistakes.

im not saying he is great im just saying he has no help you saw the drops guys throw out statlines without watching murphy and bey and higgins drop pass after pbutt. how would of russells stat line look if bey would of hung on to the ball on the deep pass or if that pass to murphy for 55 yards wasnt called back cuz of a holding. i just think jamarcus gets to much of the blame when its the whole offense thats horrible.
