Ricky Williams will replace Brown and start for the first time this season and he'll also become the primary triggerman if the Dolphins run the wildcat formation. "Who knows? May not even run it," a coy Sparano said. "Never know." At 32, Williams has rushed for 558 yards and is averaging a career-best 5.3 yards per carry. "The guy takes tremendous care of himself," Sparano said. "This guy has worked like crazy for the year and a half that we've been here. Watching him work the way he works, you wouldn't think he's 30-plus years old." The 1998 Heisman Trophy winner and 2002 NFL rushing champion has avoided the media for much of this season but spoke to them briefly Tuesday about starting. "It's my job right now," he said. "Obviously I'll have to carry the ball a little bit more." Source: Associated Press
It would be a rotation between Lex Hilliard and perhaps Kory Sheets. But the title of this thread is misleading lol. As if there was any doubt who would start in case of an injured Brown.
do you have a preference personally between hilliard or sheets from what you've seen out of both of them?
I haven't seen much of sheets but Hilliard is a monster at 5'11 240. He is a hard runner, but Sheets is a fast back with really soft hands from what I read. I think he would have more of an impact on third down.
i'm sorry brown got hurt but this is actually great for me heading towards the playoffs because williams is one of my fantasy rb's and it looks like hightower is going to lose carries to wells so i need more out of williams.
