The Buffalo Bills are considering Bill Cowher as their next head coach, sources tell the Buffalo News. The organization has reportedly already reached out to Mike Shanahan about the coaching vacancy. In addition to Shanahan and Cowher, other big-name coaches on the market include Mike Holmgren and Brian Billick, however, it's premature to count on the Bills landing one of those big-money coaches as each of them are likely to want to wait for whatever they consider to be the ideal opportunity before jumping back into the NFL. The Bills are "considering" and "targeting" Cowher. Yo...you may want to give him a buzz on the QT to get his temperature on considering you. Guessin' it's below zero.
NC Media and Jerry Richardson are too nice to Delhomme and expecially Fox, I would be surprised if Fox is fired, and I would not be surprised if Delhomme stays.
Buffalo will not end up with a top tier coach unless they offer something like a GM position as well...and that may not even do it.
That has been my thoughts on it too. He is just waiting on Fox to leave or get fired. Then he is already living there and will step in.
well, of COURSE they're targeting Cowher. He's the best coach available right now. here should be their list in order: 1) cowher 2) shanahan 3) holmgren
if the bills have a chance to get cowher, shanny, or holmgren and choose billick instead, it will be just another enormous mistake in a series of recent mistakes by the bills .........................
when it comes to coaching and X's and O's, and personnel decisions....cowher is NOT the best coach out there, when it comes to being a good motivator and spitting on people being good on tv....sure hes the best out there hes not the "turn this team around" kind of coach, no team will give him 15 years like the rooneys did, he fell into a great situation with a good team and he held them back by going with "his" guys as starters, being a piss poor gameplanner, and a choke artist
well, apparently he's a good enough motivator to have been to a couple of super bowls and had very few losing seasons in many seasons as a head coach. it's more than the bills have had in a long time.
