ESPN reports that Steelers strong safety Troy Polamalu, who missed Week 11 at Kansas City, could miss a month of action with his latest knee injury. He strained a ligament in the same knee that he injured in Week 1. Polamalu missed a month with the injury at the beginning of the season, but this is said to be a different injury all together. Sucks to lose him down the stretch out defense is not near as good with Carter playing at strong safety. Steelers still have to find way to win almost all of these games or they may not even grab a wildcard spot.
As a fan of TP, I'd like to see him on the shelf until the playoffs (assuming they make it) at a minimum. He's too important to mortgage the future for a few regular season games this year. Whatever the decision, just heal well.
