Raiders head coach Tom Cable has committed to QB Bruce Gradkowski for the rest of the season but no further. He isn't ready to say Gradkowski is a long-term solution. He also isn't sure what to make of JaMarcus Russell's future, considering Russell hasn't done much in his 25 career starts to show he is an NFL starter.

I agree with this let the guy do it for a couple of games first one game isnt nothing then think about the future at the end of the season!

I don't feel this is news.. Sporting News has not had descent writing for years. 1/2 the league will have new QBs on their team next year. over 1/2 the teams will most likely have a different QB at one time or another next year.

    *Does count in his head*
Cleveland, Buffalo, Oakland, Minnesota (pending Favre retirement....only if they win the superbowl), Seattle (I think Hasselbeck's time is over), St. Louis, Washington.

Not too many, 7 though is still a nice number.

and for that cable will be gone at the end of the season also. grad isnt much of an upgrade either he had just a bit better stats and thats because the receivers made plays shilens and murphy finally hung on to the ball. i say we draft a qb somewhere in the third round next season and just wait for a new coach and see what he does.

Are the Raiders going to use up another high pick for a QB or will they go the FA route? Because neither are the answer.

Im guessing they will try free agency the raiders have never developed a qb atleast not in my lifetime i heard the last time it happen it was kenny the snake stabler. So i say free ageny would be the best way im hoping thigpen, kolb become available some how. but if al is till making picks im guessing he will go for the best athelete available.
