The Indianapolis Colts have placed sixth-year veteran quarterback Jim Sorgi on Injured Reserve with a shoulder injury and signed fourth-year veteran offensive tackle Michael Toudouze, the club announced Wednesday. Source: colts.com
Looks like we won't see Sorgi under center after Indianapolis clinches homefield. :icon_cry: At least theres no excuse this time around for the Colts not to run the table. :icon_cheesygrin:
Yes. It was his throwing shoulder that he injured during practice. I don't see any possible way of Curtis Painter getting into significant game action down the stretch other than mop up duty. But this will be a blessing in disguise. Instead of being "fresh" coming into the postseason, they will be rolling and clicking on all cylinders into the playoffs by playing Manning and Co. well into Week 17.
This is bad news. Charlie Johnson must be even more injured than expected. If Johnson cannot play for the next couple of games, the Colts will not go 16-0. Who cartes about Sorgi, Manning will not get hurt.
