America's National Football League will stage two games in the UK in 2010, NFL UK boss Alistair Kirkwood has revealed. "We've got two teams that have agreed conceptually to be home teams. We're currently trying to get the opposition confirmed," Kirkwood told BBC 5 live. London is likely to host both games, although Cardiff and Edinburgh could stage games in the future. Kirkwood said that the teams coming to the UK will be announced by the middle of January at the very latest. Source: BBC
Blimey! Crikey! I'll eat toad in the hole and bangers and mash during the games ....... afterwards, i may play with my todger ...... it will be a smashing good time !
i think so far they've just been trying to have the east coast teams play over there because of the travel time but they may start wanting to move to the westward teams .............
I think that the Jags would be one of the home teams. I don't know about anyone else? Lions or the Raiders perhaps?
And the Chargers. This is the stupidest thing I've read in a while. I hate this idea. One game is bad enough. Two games is bullcrap.
In a few years, every team will have 7 home games, and one "home" game in London. You read it here first.
I dont think it would be the lions or the raiders, they want American football to be popular in europe so I would think they would get some of the good teams to play over there. Saints, Boys, some other good teams. That is what I would do to get people to notice football is use the good teams and not the teams that are struggling right now.
