As an eighth-year veteran, Bears running back Adrian Peterson understands the business aspect of the NFL and with his contract expiring at the end of the season, he doesn’t expect to be a Bear in 2010. Kahlil Bell has taken all the backup reps the last four weeks, although Peterson is listed as the backup on the official depth chart. Plus Bell, a rookie, would be a cheaper option for the Bears moving forward, Peterson’s base salary is $750,000 this season; Bell’s is $310,000. Source: Chicago Tribune
Not forgetting Garrett Wolfe as that dreaded tag of "Special Teams Ace". Honestly, I'm surprised Peterson has stuck around so long.
ok so probably going to look stupid here...... So there are two RB in the NFL that are named Adrian Peterson?
He may not have all the talent in the world, but he has plenty of heart and is a good guy. He will be missed.
