Tom Brady and the Patriots will never say publicly that Tom Brady's injuries are affecting his game. They won't even talk about the severity of the injuries, though coach Bill Belichick did say last week that Brady was a game-time decision for the Carolina game, indicating that the severity of at least one of the injuries was pretty bad. He's thrown at least one interception in four straight games, and he had his second-lowest quarterback rating (59.1) of the season against Buffalo, but Brady wasn't too disappointed because the Patriots won their first true road game of the year. just like when mcnabb played like crap when he was dealing with the ribs/sports hernia/ankle issues - it is what it is.
Yeah. They're just trying to lull the rest of the league into a false sense of security. :icon_twisted:
If they beat Jacksonville the team should let him sit out the Houston game and get healthy for the playoffs. Although if the Chargers lose on Sunday the second seed is still up for grabs I think.
I never really thought of this but it's actually a possibility given Belichick's past - he does whatever it takes to WIN and he knows that the team isn't as strong as it used to be.
