The flexible scheduling slot for the Sunday night game in Week 17 has been filled. The NFL announced Sunday the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets has been moved from a 1 p.m. ET kickoff to 8:30 p.m. ET and will be aired nationally on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. The game will mark the Bengals’ second regular-season appearance on Sunday Night Football since the series moved to NBC in 2006. Source: NFL.com

I guess the league figures they'll get all the fans of bubble teams such as Pittsburgh or Denver or Baltimore or Houston watching this game and routing against NY.
probably had something to do with it, but i think that is was more that if the jets lose, one team (steelers, broncos, texans, ravens, dolphins, jaguars) will be in, and all those fans will watch.
what a freaking joke. the bengals will be pulling their starters by the 2nd quarter. once again the nfl drops the ball.
