I really can't think of a fanbase currently that is more patient with their Quarterback than you guys are. Especially when this guys has cost you guys several games. When he's not throwing interceptions he's fumbling like theres no tomorrow.

Not to be shortsighted but you guys are going to have to draft a quarterback.

    WTF?

We're horrible at drafting QB's Roy.

I know it's a little late but y'all need to give Croyle a look next week. I doubt Haley swallows his pride and makes a change.

Who's the best O lineman in the draft next year Roy?

I'm too lazy to go back through all of this thread... but did anyone happen to notice Chad wound up signaling 51 to the crowd instead of the 15 he was aiming for when he scored his TD? I had to laugh at that one.

Russell Okung of Oklahoma State I believe.

Cassel really hasn't cost us any games. We played the first half of the year with no running game and a horrific offensive line. In the last 6 games the running game has improved and the offensive line has been better but our defense has been absolutely dreadful. I won't even mention that this team leads the league in dropped passes and has the chance to break the NFL record in that category. Cassel is a good enough QB for us with a solid defense and solid offensive line.

We need to draft Okung or Eric Berry next year. I'd prefer Berry since I think he's a game changer at safety but Okung wouldn't be a bad choice.

Chad was signaling 15 if you look at it from his eyes.

    Defense never gets to rest.

I want Okung so our O can stay on the field more than 3 plays.

if the chiefs can add a solid o-lineman, get brian waters to return to pro bowl form, teach their receivers how to catch the ball, and get their LB's to grow some balls, fight off blocks and hit someone, they could finish .500 next year ........................ can haley/pioli get these things done in the off-season?

Yeah if we can just do all that.

it's really not a ton of things to do when you think about what a lot of teams have done in a single off-season before ................ (phins last year, bengals this year, etc.)

i would like an O-linemen 2 help the running game and keep Cassel clean. i think that would serve us best as the first pick.

We have a huge hole at safety as well.

yes, safety is a problem along with other issues but obviously i was simplifying it .......... basically, no matter how you look at it, if a few of the MAJOR problems are fixed (and there are several very clear MAJOR problems to be fixed), they could get to .500 next season (but i'm not saying the problems ARE going to be fixed--that is completely dependent on how effective pioli and haley are in the offseason). from there, if they want to win divisions, they're going to have to fix even more of the problems, large and small ones alike.

their personnel do not match their scheme. They either need to run a new defense or acquire the right players that fit into their current scheme.

Hali has actually excelled this year.

I figured he was a bust last year, but watching what he's done with how much he's been held, I'm impressed.

I don't think we need a new QB so much as we need an O-line to protect the one we have...but I do think we should draft a QB..but in a later round...not in the first or second round at any rate. And Roy...Croyle sucks...if he played more than a quarter, he'd be on IR for the season.

I dunno, I just haven't been impressed with Cassel recently. I know his receivers haven't helped, but he's been off on a lot of throws. He could get better and I'm willing to go through next year with him, but if he doesn't improve, I'd take the next stud QB that we can get our hands on.
