4 Hottest Teams Heading Into The Playoffs?

As we near the end of the regular season and enter playoff-time, who are the hot teams?

    1) We know San Diego is hotter than anyone and can enter the playoffs on an 11-game winning streak with a victory over the Redskins on Sunday.

    2) The Eagles can not only win their division with a victory at Dallas this week, but they would also extend their winning streak to 7 games.

    3) A victory on Sunday would make it 7 out of 8 for the Packers as they head into their playoff schedule.

    4) Who is the fourth? The Vikings and Saints are not the same teams they were in September and October. The Colts can't be considered 'hot' if their starters aren't even playing much the last couple of weeks leading into the playoffs. And none of the other division leaders are particularly hot right now. As much as it pains me to say it, because I can't stand the coaches and players on this team, if the Jets win on Sunday, I would probably call them the 4th hottest team.

A win on Sunday would finish their regular season as winners of 5 of their last 6 games and another dominant defensive performance is going to scare any team that faces the task of attempting to score against them in a single elimination playoff format. Their defense is clicking on all cylinders right now as they head into the playoffs and for anyone that remembers the 1999 Baltimore Ravens, sometimes all you need is a dominant defense and a decent running game.

    3. Colts
    4. Eagles Or Cowboys whoever wins the game this weekend.

In that order as well... Colts are still hot, they would probably go undefeated if they didn't rest Manning and numerous other impact players. I don't think the eagles are particularly hot, they've benefited from playing some crappy teams and haven't looked overly impressive too me. A 6 game winning streak is still nice however.

    2. Chargers
    3. Cowboys
    4. Patriots

Eagles are the hottest team right now. McNabb has been solid, Maclin has been solid, Jackson is perhaps the best deep threat in the game right now, with the emergence of Weaver as a third back and Westbrook returning, the offense is solid!

packers have to be considered hot they way the team is scoring and the way the D has stepped up. to me the list goes like this,

    1. chargers - the team has alot of talent, but does norv pull it all together untull feb.?
    2. eagles - mcnab has been there! playoffs? he knows the drill. would not surprise me if he play out of his mind to win it for em....
    3. patriots - brady confident, moss always a threat, welker is the most productive underated plaer ever. i think coaching can pull em to the title game.
    4. packers - the D has been getting better every week. don't throw towards woodson! if the running game keeps clicking, i think the can give the #1 or # 2 seen a run on the way to miami.....

^^^^^^^this...I like the Pats flying under the radar here, but I actually think if Pittsburgh sneaks in thr afc playoffs would be ridiculous,,,you could almost flip a coin as to who would represent the conference in the Super Bowl

someone said the jets??? they just got a W handed to them.......

yes, I said the Jets. I have to respect anyone, no matter how unlikable they are or whether they got a W handed to them, who has the #1 ranked rushing attack along with the #1 ranked defense heading into the playoffs. Again, to me, it's somewhat reminiscint of the 1999 (regular season)/2000 (playoffs) Ravens. Having said that, I am 100% certain that 1999 Trent Dilfer was a better QB by a mile than Sanchez is right now. However, if the Jets can just keep Sanchez from freaking things up, they are dangerous. The Jets are 7-2 this year when Sanchez doesn't throw multiple INT's. And Ryan knows it. That's why he's trying so hard to simplify things for Sanchez because he knows if they can just run the ball effectively, occassionally hit a pass play, not turn the ball over and let their defense win the game for them, they are dangerous.

you're correct. out of the teams that are NOT going to the playoffs, the Bucs and the Browns are both playing some good ball in December .....................

Inclulbus, did you have a chance to watch the Jets yesterday? do you agree with me yet? cincy played about the best game they could play and the jets still controlled the los on both sides. i think the jets are coming up with a good formula to make sure that sanchez doesn't blow the game for them. whether they play indy or sd next week, they are going to be a tough match-up for either one.
