:word: Smith was named a first alternate. The four that were selected on the NFC Roster (Fitzgerald, Jackson, Austin & Rice) are all on playoff teams. If any of their respective teams reaches the Super Bowl, Smith will get the nod to replace one of them since they won't be eligible to play in the Pro Bowl because it will be played before the Super Bowl this year. And also if one of them pulls out due to injury or elects not to go. But for this year only, it increases the chances for Pro Bowl snubs to make their respective Conference All Star teams because of players ineligible to play in the Pro Bowl if there team is also playing in the Super Bowl.
Its so dumb how can you have a probowl without players from the 2 best teams in the league. They ruined the probowl game
This makes me absolutely sick. Only positive thing I can say right now, we can't finish with a losing record. But we also can't finish with a winning record. :icon_confused: After starting 5-0, we wind up having to kiss our own sister. :dirty36:
Always helps a little, but not really cause they are in the playoffs anyway so it really didn't matter.
I remember going 8-8 but we did the opposite started bad and finished good beat the bills the last game felt happy then felt sad that our season was over
Sometimes, the Super Bowl teams don't always have the most Pro Bowlers. We won the Super Bowl two seasons ago with only 1 Pro Bowler on the roster (Osi Umenyiora), a Super Bowl record The Bengals are the AFC North Champions, have a chance to reach the Super Bowl and they have no Pro Bowlers. But I say that the Pro Bowl should come after the Super Bowl. The NFL wanted to try this for quite sometime. They had an inch, they scratched it and will move on.
It does take away the aura of the Pro Bowl not being held in Hawaii, which is the only thing left thats special about the game these days. Traveling to Miami for the Pro Bowl seems more like a regular season road game to me.
