Every year, there are a handful of teams in the playoffs that aren't given much of a chance to actually make it to the Super Bowl. Either they finished the regular season on a downturn, they weren't very consistent during the season, or they suffered a key injury prior to the playoffs. Sometimes these teams surprise us, though and actually make it through to the big game. This year, the betting public and nfl fans/media in general don't seem to be giving the following 5 teams much of a chance to make it to Miami. Philadelphia Eagles Arizona Cardinals New York Jets Cincinnati Bengals Baltimore Ravens Which of these 5 teams has the best chance to surprise everyone and make it to SB XLIV ?
Bengals I don't see the Eagles as forgotten, they just had 1 bad game so people stepped back for a minute. Two weeks ago they were getting tons of love and were one of the hottest teams in the NFL.
Maybe the logical choice is the Jets due to their defense and top rushing game. But the playoffs are all about good quarterbacking. As such between the Cards and the Eagles I'll take Warner and all his weapons.
I went with the homer pick because if Baltimore can get as many lucky bounces in the playoffs as they did crapty bounces in the regular season then we got a punchers chance - I'm banking on the Football God's sense of karma.
I went with them too but the need to put a stop on those stupid penalities. They've killed themselves several times this year.
