A question for fellow Eagles fans, Giants, and Redskins fans: Am I the only one who will root for the Cowboys against the Vikings next week? I hate the Cowboys, but I also have division pride. In my youth, no way would I root for them, but as I've gotten older I find myself caring more about division and conference.
You've got the College Basketball metality Im like that with College Hoop's. Im a SU fan, but if say UCock is playing North Carolina I want UCock to win because it further validates the Conference, which in turn validates your team
Don't tell anyone but I feel the same way about the AFC West. I'd find it harder to root for the Raiders or Broncos though.
I can never see myself root for a division rival unless certain circumstances come into play ie playoff implications. I will though show class and respect by congratulating them on a hard fought win but thats about as far as I will go.
That's really what turned me around. I was so sick of the Pats and AFC fans saying how much better their conference is.
same reason with you about the Patriots, I wanted Eagles to win the superbowl against them, and the Giants.... weird.... i know... it was a weird butt feeling as the Giants actually won, cause... it sort of gives you that disgusting feeling? lol.
