After notching their first playoff win in more 13 years last weekend, the Cowboys are picking up believers. NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth said this morning that he thinks a Super Bowl trophy being raised in Dallas is very feasible. "I do think if Dallas wins this one, they win the Super Bowl," Collinsworth said on the Dan Patrick radio show. The Cowboys visit the Vikings this weekend in the divisional playoffs. "It's a defense that has become complete," Collinsworth told Patrick. Source: USA Today
If they beat the Vikings, I'm pretty sure they'll beat the Cards (who will beat the Saints) in the NFCCG. But I don't see them winning it all... unless they play the Jets, maybe.
I like the 'Boys chances to win the whole thing, but I remember a year ago when Collinsworth said the Cards were the worst playoff team in NFL history. Watch the SB last year, Chris?
Hater?? OMG, Watching the game against the Eagles, you would have thought he owned the Cowboys. He is about as sickening to listen to during a Cowboys game as Madden was watching Favre.
is collinsworth right 100% of the time on his predictions? of course not. no one is. does he come off as a pompous ass? probably. however, you've got to give the guy props that he has become a very respected journalist/analyst in his industry after playing in the league for many years. the guy has a case of emmys to back up his work.
