Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the Cardinals will be aggressive in trading WR Anquan Boldin, as there are many possible destinations, and the Cardinals may accept an offer as low as a 3rd and 5th round pick for him. The Cardinals have proven they can win without WR Anquan Boldin, as WRs Steve Breaston, Early Doucet and Jerheme Urban each stepped up in Boldin's absence. Boldin has burned his bridges in Arizona with his attitude and comments to the media over his contract status. Source: TheRedzone.org
maybe they can trade Boldin to a team in return for a good D-coordinator. :icon_cheesygrin: they HAVE talent on defense but they are so erratic. they just need to play consistently good ball and they can be a great team.
PULL THE TRIGGER, Ozzie. NOW. We NEED him. Trade for him, don't give up a first unless you have to, but don't be cheap, either. It makes sense for the cards to trade him as he's in his last year and they can win without him. WE NEED a proven No. 1 receiver, preferably one without legal issues. Trade for him and then sign him to a new deal. DO IT. NOW!!!!!!!!!
I think the Cards will get at least a 2nd for him. What win-now team desperate for a really good WR to get them over the top wouldn't give up a 2 for him? The answer would be a team that doesn't truly want to win now.
they didnt miss a beat without him since doucet is a clone of him, they missed out on compensation big time....last year and the year before they were looking at 2 first round picks, now they would be lucky to get one
Don't know what team would up a first round pick for a top flight injury prone wideout. The guy just have way to many knee and leg injuries.
Well guess what Cardinals. It's to freaking late now you dumb idiots! I couldn't believe the Cards didn't trade him while his value was still high last off season. Boldin is great and I love the guy but it was so clear that the offense didn't miss a beat without the guy last season when Breaston emerged. Their defense needed a lot of help and they probably could have gotten a 1st rounder for him last off season or a pretty good defensive player. It made no sense, because they were probably going to need to trade him this off season any way. Dumb dumb and did I say DUMB? He'll still have some value, but with all his injuries year after year and him getting up there in age, I wouldn't give up more than a 3rd for him. If I have everything in tact on my team, I might consider a 2nd, but I'm not sure man. He had a bad season to be a valuable commodity this year and he gets hurt every season. Plus, he's going to want a lot of money as well. The Cardinals needed a lot of help on defense this season and Ray Charles could have seen that coming. Cardinals screwed up on this one.
Q Before everyone starts saying what they would give for Bodin, please remember where the fair market value is. Last year Roy Willimas was traded to the Cowboys for a 1st, 3rd and 6th for Williams and a 10th. So basically the trade starting point is a 1st & 3rd. Now for those of you who still say no, remember Shockey? Shockey was traded for a 2nd and a 5th. Now Anquan Boldin is hands down better than Willimas. He is also a considerable step up all be it a different position than Shockey. Again for those who will say "I'd give them a 3rd and a 6th" please start with Roy Williams & Shcokey and work your way UP! Q is a top 10 WR in this league. He would be the #1 receiver for at least 25 of the teams in the NFL.
The Cowboys are notoriously under the thumb of the owner and what he say goes. He always gets what he wants: Roy Williams. The Saints gave up way too much for Shockey, but they were desparate for a Tight End. I doubt any *sensible* team would give up more than a 3rd for him.
