Deion Sanders went one-on-one with New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis for a segment on "NFL GameDay Morning" and conducted an interesting name-association quiz. Revis had a couple of interesting responses for future Hall of Famers Terrell Owens and Randy Moss when Sanders asked Revis to tell him what he though of the players in two words or less. When asked about Owens Revis simply replied "Slouch" and when asked about Randy Moss he answered "Probably say slouch too." Source: ESPN.com
Revis has had an amazing year but I hate to see him say these kind of things. This type of stuff is likely to come back and bite him.
There is being confident and savvy, and then there is being an butthole. There is a fine line between the two, but if Revis keeps this up he is going to cross over.
Swagger is always a great thing to have in a star corner. But having a poor attitude is another matter. Revis should try keep some of those comments to himself. Nothing wrong though with a little trash talking but he should keep that in check.
Are you kidding me? He was dead on and he called it just like he saw it. I love that! And if anyone has deserved the right to call these two slouches it's him after he shut both of them down TWICE! Moss may be one of the greatest of all time and probably the most talented off all time, but everyone knows he's always been a quitter with no heart when the going gets tough. When players play him physically, he doesn't knuckle up and put his best foot forward, he's always folded like old one dollar bill. And TO has always had a ton of more heart and I'll give him that, but he's always been a team cancer and the most disgraceful player in the history of the game to his teammates and coaches. And when TO doesn't play well and has a bad game, he always blames his QB and chastises his O line. That's slouch material if you ask me. Revis just had one of the best seasons for any CB of all time. He can say what he wants right now. He's earned that right.
Are you kidding me? If those guys are known for it why does he have to say it as well? There is no real reason for him to open his mouth other than to be like his HC and be a big mouthed bafoon.
So if Moss is such a slouch, why didn't Revis go cover Wes Welker when Welker went off for almost 200 yards the last time the Jets faced New England?
If he torches just about every other top corner in the league the way that Revis shut down every elite WR he faced and does it to Revis twice like Revis did to Moss and TO, then yes.
