Jaguars QB David Garrard To Replace Peyton Manning In Pro Bowl

With the Colts win over the Jets today, Jaguars QB David Garrard will be one of the AFC's quarterbacks in this Sundays Pro Bowl. Despite starting off as a 7th alternate, things just bounced the right way for David. However, this is a perfect example of why the Pro Bowl isn't exactly all the NFL hype machine makes it out to be.

This seals it for me....the NFL should just name the team and not bother playing the game. Garrard in the Pro Bowl??? What a joke...

 

I'll still watch just because it's kinda like watching football...

I can only hope that one day so many players back out of the Pro Bowl that the alternates playing are true backups. Maybe then the NFL will finally stick a fork in the Pro Bowl.

Philip Rivers - Injury
Ben Roethlisberger - Injury
Peyton Manning - Pro Bowl ineligible. Will play in Super Bowl 44.

My guess is four.

 

The should rename the Pro Bowl the No Bowl since so many players find excuses to not play in the game.

 

Then they shouldn't play it before the freaking Super Bowl.
