Despite his own lackluster performance against the Jets twice in the past month, Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco is not yet ready to call Jets CB Darrelle Revis a shutdown corner. Ochocinco caught just two passes for 28 yards in two games, both losses, to the Jets in Week 17 and the wild-card round. But he balked at the kudos being lavished on Revis, who finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting, in an interview on the NFL Network on Wednesday "We have a guy that's had one great season, and we want to label him a shutdown corner." Ochocinco said. Source: USA Today
in one of the chargers' 3 and outs, revis made every single stop. i think there was a 4th down stop to. if your coach says he feels comfortable enough to let revis do his thing and focus more on the other side, i would say that is shutdown status.
Same old craphead chad, will talk some BS gainst someone else who is better, just so chad is in the news.....media tramp!
he didn't deny that he never denied his skills either he needs to keep this up or he'll just be a one year wonder so you think Revis isn't a shutdown corner aye? it's either thinking that or chad's not an elite receiver
Chad isn't the same Chad he was years ago but I'd gladly take him over any WR you have on your team...
His shutdown skills. Cause you know, the topic is about Revis and his shutdown talent (or lack there of), and Chad was shutdown... twice.
Ike Taylor's owned Chad for years...lol... But Chad is sort of right...the way the game is now, there really isn't such a thing as a "shutdown" corner...
I can agree with this, Chad is getting old. he never did say he wasn't shut down by him. he is stating that he needs to do this for more than one simple year. and that is true lets see how teams counter him in the following years, if he can keep it up then sure he can earn that title.
