Terrell Owens said that he might be within striking distance of overtaking Jerry Rice's records as the league's greatest-ever receiver if he had played with better quarterbacks during his career. Owens, who earned honors as the best receiver of the 2000s on USA TODAY's All-Decade team, said the signal callers he played with during his 14-year career did not allow him to climb to the top of the record books: "I know hands-down I'd be close to Jerry Rice's records if I had been with quality quarterbacks like he had. He had Joe Montana and he finished with Steve Young. That wasn't a dropoff." "Say I had been with a guy like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or Drew Brees all of my career. Are you kidding me?"

So, you're saying had you had a Hall of Fame QB you would have broken every record? Because, Romo, McNabb and Garcia aren't that bad. Better than most people can say they had their whole career.

Also, what happened once you left Dallas? Just curious........

And if I had wheels I'd be a wagon - Screw you Owens, enjoy playing out the rest of your championshipless career in Buffalo.

    Right.

If I was 6'5 with the skillset of Joe Montana, I'd be in the NFL

Let's all state the obvious guys.

Overblown....He saying Rice had two all time greats, and feels if he had all time greats that his numbers would be better. Big Deal!

so instead of throwing your quarterback under the bus one at a time, you throw them all under in one fell swoop. good job.

Rich Gannon was legit. Rice put up good numbers in Oakland.

I don't disagree. My comment was based off of this quote by TO:

"He had Joe Montana and he finished with Steve Young."
