The Associated Press reports the NFL is still eyeing a return to Mexico. Arizona and San Francisco played the NFL's first regular-season game outside the United States in Mexico in 2005, followed two years later by a game in London between Miami and the New York Giants. On Friday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Mexico remains on the league's radar screen, noting that "it's good for the NFL" while also saying he'd like to see games played in both London and Mexico and later in his state-of-the-NFL session Friday, also called Japan and the Far East "an important market" for the league.

Can teams just tell Roger to STFU? If I owned a team and they wanted to ship me over to Japan for a game I would just pay the fine and tell Roger to kiss my butt. Then every red blooded American would love and support my team and I would die a trillionaire.

I won't believe a single word about this from this freaking happy until I'm seating at Azteca Stadium, with my Romo jersey, and there's a gridiron painted in the pitch (that's right...I said pitch. I'm speaking "british" English now).

Screw Goodell and his freaking London obsession.

I have always been of the opinion that these international games should be relegated to exhibition games. Give them preseason games like they used to with the old "American Bowl" series. I remember the games that were played in Japan, Germany and Mexico back in the day. It gave the league exposure and no regular season games were sacrificed in the process. Goodell really needs to back off his vision of the global domination by the NFL....when it comes down to it's....it's JUST a football game.

American Bowl games didn't sell as much as a regular season game Steve. Nobody want to see 2nd and 3rd stringers playing most of the game. Godell knew this....

Yeah, but we still filled Azteca with 112,000+ seats back in '94 when the Cowboys and Oilers played in a mud field. We didn't care.

Just one game, I don't care if it's preseason or regular season. Just one freaking game a yer like in the 90's.

Really? Ask any player who came here in the 90's. They had a blast.

To be honest guys, does it really affect you wherever it's played? If your a season ticket holder then I really sympathise, but if your just a couch fan then tbh the only affect it has on you is a new backdrop and a different atmosphere.

In a couple years the league will officially change its name to the International (American) Football League.

Make it the London Football League.

Goodell has no intention of bringing the game back to Mexico. He was just being polite to the Mexican journalists covering the Super Bowl.
