Buccaneers To Release WR Michael Clayton, QB Byron Leftwich?

Discussion in 'Tampa Bay Buccaneers' started by BigBlueBruiser, Feb 12, 2010.

  1. Buccaneers WR Michael Clayton and QB Byron Leftwich are candidates to be released this offseason. The injury-riddled Clayton was a $24M mistake last season, offering little more than his trademark blocking while missing seven games. After he proved once again that he's no better than a backup, Leftwich isn't worth keeping around with Josh Johnson ready to handle the No. 2 job.

Man, I thought Clayton was going to be pretty good, especially after his rookie year. What the heck happened to him?

    Inclulbus WE ARE! .. Marshall!

hopefully Dallas can get Byron as the backup now. Youth to the #2 Spot. huge upgrade in age over Kitna.

If we aren't franchising Antonio Bryant we have to hang on to Clayton.

You don't have to hang onto Clayton Mush, send his butt packing. Bring in some fresh meat.

I'd take Leftwich as a back up to Jay Cutler in Chicago if the Bucs release him.
