Julius Peppers could very well walk away from the Carolina Panthers as an unrestricted free agent as he said last week he no longer wants a long-term deal with the Panthers, while his agent believes the team is no longer interested in retaining the five-time Pro Bowler. NFL.com senior analyst Pat Kirwan names the New England Patriots as the team most likely to land Peppers. "I still think the Patriots are the team that had the most interest in him, and they struggled in the pass rush last season," Kirwan told fans during a live chat Monday on NFL.com. "Bill Belichick has had great success with the hybrid players, like Willie McGinest, who can play in both three- and four-man fronts. The Redskins are notorious for spending money. But I think Peppers wants to play for a playoff contender, along with making a ton of money."

I just don't want to see him in a Patriots uniform. I hate the Pats with a passion.

Watch out for the Eagles in the peppers mix as well cause they are also in need of a DE opposite of Trent Cole and I'm sure they wouldn't mind breaking the bank for him

If the Pats sign Peppers, would they have enough to resign Wilfork?

Its an Uncapped Year money is the last of their worries

You better pray it doesn't happen cause with a strong D-line there is no need to Blitz as heavily making any decent secondary much better

    I totally agree...a strong D-line can make a weak secondary look all-pro.

just cause next season may be uncapped, who knows what the future cap number will be....teams aren't going to heck themselves by overspending

The redskins spend tons of money every year and never get any result but imagine a contender that wants to make a push for the Superbowl.... then what? you dont think they will overspend just for the opportunity to get to the Superbowl what happens with the CBA afterward would be irrelevant.

You can't tell me that the Patriots, Eagles, Falcons, Jets, Ravens would not make a push to make it to the superbowl by any means necesary and if you think about Belichick was caught taping signals in this league teams will do anything!!!!!

lol...not if it could have serious implications to the teams future...the patriots don't overspend...i'm not saying they cant or wont land peppers, they very well could and i hope they will. They wil not overspend and hurt the future of the franchise...they never do.

Well the patriots won't overspend cause they have already won 3 super bowls but teams that haven't and are in the contender seat just might to hold the Lombardi trophy for the first time in a LONG long time
