Wide receiver Donte Stallworth, whose contract with Cleveland was terminated last week, will sign a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The deal will be worth $900,000, with Stallworth able to earn another $300,000 in incentives, the source said. Stallworth was recently reinstated by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell after serving a year-long suspension for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk. Source: ESPN
Not a horrible move for the price. He still has a long way to go to make the team but could be a deep threat. As long as 2 WR's this offseason im fine with that. Derek Mason, Demaryius Thomas, Carlton Mitchell, Donte Stallworth, Justin Harper or Marcus Smith.....not bad at all
Even though I don't think he should be playing football anymore...this could be a good move for them.
if he's cleaned up his personal life he's a great deal for that price and will be the #1 wr for the ravens.......SF72 has spoken :icon_cheesygrin:
If he's the #1 WR for the Ravens next season im jumping off a bridge! solid 3rd or 4th that could bring a deep threat but we still will draft a couple guys or sign 1 draft 1.
great move by the ravens.... they definitely needed a good WR and the price is pretty good. If he stays out of the media and cleans up his act then he could potentially change his image
naw i dont see it, we'll add multiple WR's in the offseason.....if he's anything higher then #4, maybe even 3 if he has a incredible camp it would be like putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound lol
Ozzie's philosophy. Right player, right price. I like it. It is a low risk maneuver which could have some nice results. Stay busy Ozzie.
