NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith gave agents some strong advice to pass on to their clients today: Save your money. According to league sources, the union chief informed agents during a meeting this morning that he expects a lockout in 2011. And he emphasized that agents should tell their players to save 25 percent of their 2010 compensation in case there's a work stoppage in 2011. Source: National Football Post
A plea to Smith, Goodell, the owners, and the players: Swallow your pride. Come to an agreement. Do it for the fans. All we want is to watch football on Sundays for 5 months. Don't selfishly take that away from us. Whatever it takes, make it happen.
Not denying that one either...but my do I love that stadium!! I do wonder if Jerry is more about marketing the Star than he is about winning...he is a great owner because he will pay for players and a stadium...but he makes some stupid bonehead decisions.
And that's why Jerry needs to hire a real GM and focus in his specialty, which is making money. Lots, and lots of money.
