Bears GM Jerry Angelo worries that bringing in a veteran will hinder the development of Johnny Knox, Earl Bennett, Devin Aromashodu and Juaquin Iglesias. But the addition of a proven playmaker, such as Brandon Marshall, could put the unit — and the offense — over the top. Rumors persist that Angelo’s comments about wide receiver not being a â€need†position are a smoke screen. It’s all about giving quarterback Jay Cutler what he needs to thrive, which is why one NFL source wagered a steak dinner on Marshall being in a Bears uniform when camp opens. Where would Chicago be getting the necessary draft picks to trade for him? Seems like their turning into the Chicago Cowboys lately.
WHAT!!!!! what development! The Bears probably have one of the worst WR core in the entire NFL and they are worried that a Brandon Marshall will hinder their development? :Loco: What a joke!
well damn all I see are Bears are seeking or going after.... If the bears get everyone they are going for this off season, come time for the games to start Bears are going to be stacked......
that's truth right there the bears didn't have any wide receiver that played more than 80% of the team's snaps in 2009---thanks PFT :icon_cheesygrin:
Are you serious?!? you mean to tell me that they will sign Peppers, Sproles, Rolle and C. Taylor. Oh come on that's insane! If they are looking at all those players the only thing that you can take out of that is that they have so many holes in their team that they dont know where to start. The Bears are in complete reconstruction mode they just dont know it yet.
Bears WR corps has talent, problem is Bennett, Knox and Iglacias arent ready to be counted on. And even then, I dont know if any of them is talented enough to be a #1 WR. I think they are all #2 WR's Say Bennett and a second for Marshal, and you just got your #1, and a guy that could make Knox a very dangerous player on the other side
