Discussion in 'Philadelphia Eagles' started by BigBlueBruiser, Mar 11, 2010.

  1. The Eagles will entertain free agent running back Justin Fargas at the NovaCare Complex tomorrow. Fargas, 30, spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Oakland Raiders, rushing for 3,369 total yards during that time. Fargas will arrive in Philadelphia tonight and he has reportedly already visited the Kansas City Chiefs.

I think a 1-2 punch of McCoy and Fargas would be nice, plus he could probably be had cheap. Eagles should move on this.

Fargas still has potiental he never had real opportunities in Oakland, and when he did he made the best of them.

He's not as worn down as your average 30 year old back because he's been sharing carries his whole career, and he's damn sure never had the opportunity to run behind an offensive line as good as the Eagles.

Makes sense, and I agree with you.

Justin FargO gets it done! He goes 110% on every play... IMO -- He's the best Running Back out there.
The only Reg Flag I have on Fargas is INJURiES! If healthy.. he's without a doubt a Pro Bowl runner.

i think you need to run more the eagles dont run the ball so what good will fargas be if he only gets 6 carries a game. He is not a good receiver out of the backfield but he can block. he does not have breakaway speed he always gets caught from behind. If anything he is a good short yardage back hell get you the 3rd and shorts.

Eagles dont run the ball so how good is the run blocking for the eagles? their pass blocking is excellent.

Well let me put it this way, LeSean McCoy and or Justin Fargas aren't going to be any problems for our Run D. They aren't good enough and the eagles aren't committed to stuffing the ball down anybodies throats. So their running game will remain non-existent come next season when they face us another two times during the regular season. And it will probably remain that way forever until the Eagles have a new coach or change their philosophy.
