Anyone catch it the other night? Thought it was ok considering how crappy the concept sounded. "Daniel Bryan" certainly proved he is one of the best, and obviously going by the fact that he had half of the air-time (Whether it being the Miz promo or the match with Jericho) it looks like for once they won't be crushing a talent just for McMahon to stamp his authority.
I enjoyed the first NXT, missed the second. Daniel Bryan looks incredible. I'm not really sure about the best, need to see more in ring time with them. For me, WWE might actually be doing something smart here.
The second show was a letdown from the first. I do hope the show produces some new blood but they are treating all the rookies like punks. They should stop making them look like idiots with all the hazing and just let them develop.
I see...I was going to say...why not just start their own channel. I'm sure it's been discussed by the WWE crew...
The problem with ECW was more with the links the name had rather than the content. Had they just rebranded it and added the "rookies" and possibly a new title into the show, it would be much better to watch.
I like Andy's idea pretty much. Use the night on SFY as a show just for teh up and comers. Or just record the FCW shows and broadcast them, theres where the young talent for WWE spends most of their time. But we all know that isnt gonna happen, cause it make sense
it's just a rehash of "Tough Enough" but they are doing a better version. these guys are getting air time, and a personality to boot.
I thought NXT was going to be a complete joke, but I watched it this past week and it was quite entertaining. I do however think that they really don't need the pros to be there since they don't quite do much...
Its ended, and thanfully they didnt screw it up by giving David Otunga the victory. Just because his wife is famous doesnt mean he should get a push. I like Wade Barrett, but I prefered the high flying style of Justin Gabriel. I really hope he gets some kind of TV time, even if its on Superstars
They seriously messed up this series. Almost seemed they didn't have a clue what direction they were going with this. Bryan Danielson & Wade Barrett should go a long way in the WWE from this crop of NXT guys. Hopefully they keep Danielson in his program with The Miz/Michael Cole, and the same with Barrett being aligned with Jericho, because they have been pretty good to watch and should put them over. Gabriel will be a nice, midcard spot monkey that should stick around for a while, and if Heath Slater gets re-invented, he could also be a decent one to watch. Not a fan of the others, especially David Otunga, but then again, shagging a B-List celebrity will get him a long way... Anyway, what about the second series guys. Joe Hennig (Son of Mr. Perfect) has had his name completely stripped and been given the jobbers name of "Michael McGillicutty", which is even more pathetic than "Daniel Bryan". Low-Ki (Kaval) has been paired with freaking LayCool...I mean seriously? What the heck? Hopefully he's scripted to revolt against them because otherwise they will have destroyed yet another mega prospect.
When I saw Kaval was put with LayCool, I was hoping that was a typo. Thats ten times worse then putting Bryan Danielson with The Miz.
Ive read alot of good things about Joe Henning and Kaval, but Ill be honest, I didnt know who they where until I googled them. Everyone seems to be really high on Kaval.
