Is that a knock against the value of cornerbacks? Or the Eagles just don't value them?

The Eagles paid good coin for Samuel, but to put that kind of money into two corners would be kind of ridiculous.

getting someone of Nnamdi's skill level and experience would be worth it, especially with dodgy (and cheap) safeties.

Schefter is still made at Davis for firing him from the Raiders organization years ago. He's a little snitch. Most everything thing he has ever said about the Raiders & Al Davis has been negative.

Asomugha has maybe the most player friendly contract in the league..

16 Million this year and 16 million next year is a ridiculous amount for a CB

Add in the fact that Samuel makes 9 million and Brown can reneg this offseason

    This.

If this offer has been on the table more than an hour and they have not accepted it, they are freaking nuts.

You think a player like him would stay in Oakland for a more reasonable contract? Hell no. They had to pay him that.

Not saying he would take a HUGE paycut to play on a better team, but I'd assume he'd be willing to work out something more reasonable and cap friendly towards the team if he truly wanted to be there.

I doubt he would. His entire career had been as a Raider. After that I bet he spells team with an I and several $$$'s

$16Million is too much for a CB, but if you stretch his contract out for quite a few years then it'll be a lot more manageable. He must realize that he won't get a deal like that again, right?
