Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger is headed to New York today for a meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Now the attention turns to what discipline the league or the Steelers may impose on Roethlisberger, though he wasn't charged with a crime in Georgia, Roethlisberger may have violated the league's personal-conduct policy. Former NFL player Amani Toomer said he's watching closely and advocated a half-season suspension for Roethlisberger. "I'm interested to see what's going to happen with Roger Goodell, because there's precedent in this situation with Pacman Jones. He never got convicted of anything, but he got arrested a lot of times. What is Goodell going to do?," Toomer said. "Ben Roethlisberger, the NFL is running away from this like the plague. He should be suspended for at least eight games." Source: USA Today
Actually, the Pacman situation is quite different than this and the precedent is totally different...Goodell actually changed NFL Policy if I remember correctly so that he could suspend Pacman for the amount of time that he did.
Pacman was associated with Murder Big Ben's been accused of sexual assult Ben's hand isn't going to be smacked nearly as hard
Well i heard that the DA said that there was DNA but "not enough" to prosecute him. To me that was a bit of a "get out of jail" lucky card for Ben
DNA is pretty concrete....if theres any, im pretty sure its enough. if theres 1 DNA strand found or a gallon of them, im pretty sure they would be the same lol
No, there was male human DNA founninside her, but the sample did not yield the markers necessary for comparison with a human sample. That's why they withdrew the request for his DNA, because getting his wouldn't help, because it couldn't be matched to what they found in her. Did I say "in her" enough times here..?
