The Raiders re-signed restricted free agent linebacker Kirk Morrison to a one-year, $2.521 Million deal. Morrison broke the news on his Twitter account: "Just walked into the facility and signed my tender with the Raiders. I'm excited to see what 2010 season holds." By signing his tender, Morrison is by no means locked in as a Raider in 2010 and the fact is, he can't be traded unless the tender is signed, and the money, Morrison's figure based on a percentage increase from 2009 is $2.521 Million, is not guaranteed. Having Morrison signed makes him eligible to be traded as the Raiders enter the draft. Source: Oakland Tribune
That's cool.. I don't think Al Davis will trade Kirk Morrison unless he's used as Bait to get back into the 1st Round. If not, Kirk will continue to thrive in Oakland and hopefully he signs a Long term deal. **********Automerged Doublepost********** Let me Rep you up real quick, you're sitting on "E" :icon_cheesygrin:
You guys realize this doesn't mean he's a Raider next year right? Brandon Marshall signed his tender too, what, like a day before he was traded?
He only had a 3rd round tender, if anyone wanted him he could of been signed and just had to give up a 3rd round pick.
A 3rd round pick for this guy would be a steal. I would say the Ravens should do it but we don't have a 3rd in this years draft.
