The St. Louis Rams have traded defensive tackle Adam Carriker, a first-round pick in 2007 who's been held back by injuries, to the Washington Redskins for a late-round pick in the draft. A source told ESPN.com's John Clayton the pick is believed to be a fifth-round draft choice. Rams general manager Billy Devaney said Tuesday the team had enough depth at the position to make the deal. Source: ESPN.com
it could be both suh AND Mcoy for the rams:icon_cheesygrin: suh on the first round and Colt McCoy in the second round
On the money. Really dissapointed by how Carriker turned out for us, having played fairly well in his rookie year. Us returning to a pure 4-3 and his two years of injury afterwards made this move happen. Signals yet another awful draft by the last regime.
According to Chris Mortensen, the Rams & Redskins will swap some seventh round picks in addition to the fifth round picks in the Carriker deal. Chris Mortensen: Twitter.com
^this is exactly where the Rams should go with their first two picks...but they won't. The franchise really should be taking a lock in this draft...what's it up to now 40 some picks with no pro-bowlers and of those 40+, 20 are out of the league? Yet they want to gamble on Bradford... Could be what they are setting up for.
Yeah. I've been hoping for a noodle armed, dumber version of Marc Bulger for years now - Colt Mccoy would certainly fit the bill. Even if we were to go with a guy like Suh, I'd rather spend the 2nd pick on something else, like WR - cross my fingers and snag Jake Locker in 2011. You guys can take Colt Mccoy and shove him up your ass, no offense.
If we manage to pull in Sam Bradford and Golden Tate, I may just faint. If we end up with Suh or Jimmy Clausen, I'll probably just spend the next few hours tearing my fingernails off one by one with a rusty pair of pliers. Either way, interesting it should be.
You guys have more issues than needing a qb or a wr, you should consider yourselves extremely lucky to get Suh. I'd love to be tearing off my manicured nails with a rusty plier picking Suh.
I'd rather have Clausen, because he's the only QB in the Draft with a good shot of not being horsecrap. If it came down to Suh or Bradford, well, it's not even worth thinking about.
