New York Jets running back LaDainian Tomlinson said he has tried to mend fences with former San Diego Chargers teammates about his comments since leaving the team. However, he said his lack of rapport with Chargers general manager A.J. Smith could block him from retiring as a Charger one day. "I would hope so, because I really have a lot of respect for the Spanos family," Tomlinson told the San Diego Union-Tribune. "But my relationship with A.J. has been rocky. And so it's hard for me. It's hard for me to just accept going to retire with the Chargers with A.J. being there." Smith later responded to Tomlinson's remarks. "He's with the Jets now, not with the Chargers, so I fully understand where he's coming from," Smith said. "He won't have to worry about his retirement. By the time Dean Spanos makes the arrangements for him, I hope to be on a secluded beach somewhere in the Hawaiian Islands. So it will all work out well. My sources tell me there might be similar arrangements going on in Green Bay and other teams in the future. It's something a lot of us deal with at times. It's part of the business." I don't know about anyone else but I'm sick of LT and his freaking whining about the Chargers, dude they let you go, MOVE ON DIPCRAP!!!
My comment wasn't about LT vs Smith, it was about Smith's comment that he'd be in Hawaii when it all goes down. That's commitment.
Yeah, get the heck over it, LT. It's not like you would have to work with AJ a bunch to retire a Charger. :icon_rolleyes:
Been sick of him whining and crying for a long time now...love his play on the field, respect his play on the field, but as soon as he opens his mouth he's a whiny little snitch. Let it go already dude...move on...
In the regular season. And yes, i';m sick of his whining, dudes always come off as a bit of a snitch. ...but that AJ dude is still a rod.
