well, that's going to be the key. no one ever questioned smith's talent. if he can figure out the mental part, he could be a legit starting qb.

I said you "CAN'T" be this stupid, never said you are stupid. I'm hardly making excuses for a sucky QB like Smith, but since 2005 he's been hurt 2 of 5 years with only this season having the same offensive coordinator, it's an explanation not an excuse. I like many other 49er fans hate having Smith and since you WERE a mod you should at least remember that I have always been vocal in my disdain for Smith but Russell just pisses on the game of football, he's in Ryan Leaf territory. I sleep well at night "sweetie", having a crapty QB would hardly keep me awake.
:word: Smith never had the physical abilities of Russell but at least he seems to be giving some effort so, at worst, he will have a back-up job somewhere in the league.
