Broncos coach Josh McDaniels brought partial clarity to the quarterback situation Friday by releasing Tom Brandstater. Thus, it's official: Tim Tebow has been promoted to No. 3 quarterback. Even with veterans Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn, and the rookie Tebow in the Broncos' quarterback stable, Brandstater's release was surprising because as a second-year player who showed promise in the preseason last year, he was practice-squad eligible. "I'm learning as you go you can't worry about things you can't control," said Brandstater, a sixth-round pick out of Fresno State last year. "I've enjoyed my time in Denver. The people were great, the fans were great, they've got a good team coming up. I will still be rooting for them, hopefully (while I'm) with another team." Source: The Denver Post
I was pissed off that we didn't draft him last year as he is a real prospect that could be special if in the right set up. Sadly he was the casualty from the McDaniels-Tebow man love, but there's no doubt he'll get picked up soon.
