Free agent quarterbacks Mark Brunell reportedly has a "handshake agreement" to join the New York Jets, according to Brian Allee-Walsh of NewOrleans.com. Terms of the deals, which are expected to be executed on or around June 15, were not disclosed. Brunell, who turns 40 in September, has spent the last two seasons with the Saints, serving as Drew Brees' top backup. A fifth-round (118th overall) pick out of the University of Washington by the Green Bay Packers in 1993, Brunell spent nine seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining the Redskins in 2004. Brunell is a 59.5% passer, with 31,928 yards, 182 touchdowns, 107 interceptions, and a career passer rating of 83.9, but has only attempted 30 passes since 2006. Source: NewOrleans.com
